What is a Blank QR and how does it work?A Blank QR is a "blank" QR code that you can add the following information to:

Text (e.g. greeting message, congratulations, etc.)
Images
URLs (e.g. websites, social media profiles, etc.)
Files (e.g. PDFs, videos, etc.)
Voice memo

Scan the QR code on the screen to learn how it works and what options are available.
A Blank QR is ideal for greeting cards, gift cards or other creative ideas - e.g. to personalize a gift. Once the Blank QR is created and with the content added, it cannot be changed anymore.

Can I edit the content afterwards?No, the content cannot be changed after saving. Please review your input carefully before saving.

Validity period & remaining validity:The validity period begins as soon as you have saved your data and is valid for the term you have selected.
The remaining validity can be seen after scanning the QR code.

How can I tell the Blank QRs apart?Each file and each Blank QR-Code is assigned a user-specific number.
User-specific means that the numbering starts at 1 for each account.

Why don't my QR codes work?Below you will find the most common reasons why a QR code does not work.

The QR code has expired/is no longer valid
The distance between the QR code and the scanner is too large or too small
The QR code is blurred
Too little color contrast between foreground and background
The QR code is too small. A minimum size of 2cm x 2cm (0.8 x 0.8 inches) is recommended. The size should be adjusted to the expected scanning distance.
Low light/ambient light
Old phone model
Old operating system version
QR scanning is not activated in the camera app

Will the saved content be deleted if I remove a QR code from my computer?No, the saved content remains for the selected validity period. The content is only permanently deleted once the validity period has expired.

Can I scan a blank QR code without a camera/webcam and add content to?Yes, this is possible for example with Google Lens, or via the following link: https://me-qr-scanner.com/qr-scanner

What content may not be added to a blank QR code?The following content may not be added to a blank QR code:

Spam
Malicious links
Fraud
Child abuse
Sexual content
Offensive or provocative content
Hate speech
Animal cruelty
Advertising of illegal substances and weapons
Gambling
Phishing
Malware or viruses
Racist or discriminatory content
Slander or defamatory statements
Dangerous or violent content
Copyright infringing content
Content, that encourages illegal activities

Content that violates these guidelines will be removed without warning. In the event of violations, the operator reserves the right to take legal action.
